Exam Tip

• If you can’t answer a question the first time you listen, don’t panic! Leave it blank and come back to it later. Don’t stop listening, or you will miss the answers to other questions.
• Listen again carefully. This time, make sure you write an answer for all of the questions.
• Thing about topic vocabulary
• Make inferences about the information you hear, e.g. if you hear that someone can’t stand animals, you could infer that they don’t have a pet.
• Listen carefully. The speakers won’t use exactly the same words, so think about synonyms and paraphrases.
• Give an answer for each speaker.
• Read the rubric and statements A-F to get a general idea of the topic.
