2- Complete the rules about the simple past in the AFFIRMATIVE.
We use the past simple to describe actions that were completed in the past. Examples: “When we were at the concert, there was a big queue outside the concert hall. / We took an hour to get in.
In affirmative sentences, regular verbs end in ed.
We use the same past tense form for all the subject. Examples: I arrived/ He arrived, We arrived, etc.
But many verbs are irregular. Example: “We ate a hot dog from this man.” They don’t follow any spelling rules. You have to learn them individually. Examples:
      be → am, are
      put→ put
      get → got
      speak → speak
      make → made
      eat → ate
      write → wrote
      have → had
      do → did
      catch → cached
3- Complete the rules about the simple past in the NEGATIVE.
To make negative sentences in the past simple, we use “didn’t” or did not and the positive of the verb. Examples: I i didn’t eat the apple/ She did not make a cake / They didn’t do marshmallows.
4- Complete the sentences from the video.
We travelled to the concert with about forty other Gaga fans.
I was hungry so Edward bought me a hot dog
We arrived home at one o’clock.
